How this is put together

We engineer. GADDR carries the platform. You own the result

Three layers, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying and who stands behind each.

Why a consultancy has a platform behind it

Most engineering firms rebuild the same foundations on every engagement. Sign in, storage, mail, search, payment. It is weeks of work that produces nothing a client can point at, and it gets billed anyway.

GADDR is a group of connected products built and run inside the same house. Search, mail, storage, jobs and payments already exist, already run, and are already looked after by people who do that full time.

So an engagement starts further along. The weeks that would have gone into foundations go into the thing that is actually yours, and the foundations come with somebody whose job is to keep them up.

Three stacked layers with the client product on top and the platform beneath Three bars are stacked. The top is marked your product, the middle our engineering, and the bottom, drawn in violet, GADDR platform. Arrows point down between them. Under the lowest bar four small violet boxes are marked search, mail, storage and pay. A glowing line runs from the middle bar to a blinking point marked we sign here. The layers

Who carries what, written down

The bottom layer is the platform. It is GADDR's, it is operated by GADDR, and it is the same infrastructure that runs GADDR's own products rather than something assembled for you.

The middle layer is our engineering. That is what you are buying, it is what we sign for, and it is what the fixed price covers.

The top layer is your product. It belongs to you, the contract says so, and at handover it sits in a repository you control.

Three consequences

What that arrangement actually buys you

None of these is a discount. They are the reasons the arrangement exists.

Five boxes in a row with a dashed return path from the check Five boxes stand in a line marked collect, clean, model, check and ship, joined by glowing arrows. A dashed line runs from the check box back to the first, with the words fails the check, goes back beneath it. Along the bottom stand the words provenance at every step. COLLECT CLEAN MODEL CHECK SHIP FAILS THE CHECK, GOES BACK PROVENANCE AT EVERY STEP

You start further along

The foundations are already running. The engagement begins at the part that is specific to you.

What we build is yours in a repository you control. The platform is a choice you keep making, not a lock.

Where the line runs, and what we will not do

We will not put a client onto the platform because it suits us. When a client already has infrastructure, or has a reason to run their own, we build against theirs and say so in the scope.

And we do not resell it as ours. GADDR is a separate brand in the same house, the arrangement is written into the contract, and you can read what each party is responsible for before you sign anything.

Or write here

Three fields, and a person reads it

Name, an address we can answer to, and what you are trying to build. You get a reference back straight away.

We use this to answer you and, where it fits, to prepare a scope. The lawful basis is steps taken at your own request before a contract. It is stored on our own server in the European Union, never passed to anyone, and deleted after twelve months if it does not become an engagement. The full notice is on the legal page.

Which layer do you need?

Sometimes the answer is only the middle one. We will tell you which parts you actually need before quoting any of them.
